History

In August 2002 the Southern Cross Transit was purchased by the family of the late John Oliveri, who operates buses in Campbelltown and Liverpool, NSW, under the banner of Interline Bus Services south west of Sydney, Since 1954.

Frank Oliveri was appointed Managing Director for the newly purchased businessĀ and relocatedĀ himself and his immediate family to Queensland and is running the business from the depot at Karalee.

Wally Horwood founded Southern Cross Transit in 1980 when he moved his whole family and all their possessions from New South Wales in an old bus he purchased with his life savings to Brisbane's Western suburbs. After emptying the bus of all their possessions (including the kitchen sink!), he virtually immediately commenced operating the bus on school and charter services.
