Giovanni (John) Oliveri
In August 2002 Southern Cross Transit was purchased by the family of the late Giovanni Oliveri, who operate buses in Campbelltown and Liverpool, NSW, under the banner of Interline Bus Services south west of Sydney, Since 1954.
Wally Horwood
Wally Horwood founded Southern Cross Transit in 1980 when he moved his whole family and all their possessions from New South Wales in an old bus he purchased with his life savings to Brisbane's Western suburbs. After emptying the bus of all their possessions (including the kitchen sink!), he virtually immediately commenced operating the bus on charter services. Wally went on to purchase Moggill Bus Service from the Carrick family in 1982 servicing Moggill and Kenmore High state schools and renamed the business Southern Cross Parlorcars
Francesco (Frank) Oliveri
Frank Oliveri, John's son, was appointed Managing Director for the newly purchased business and relocated himself and his immediate family to Queensland and is running the business from the depot at Karalee.

Our team
OUR DRIVERS are our most important people and more importantly, they are the ones that have the front-line responsibility of transporting our students, and your children, safely and efficiently to and from school. They therefore must have our and your respect if they are to do this day in and day out without incident or harm. We have too many professional and capable men and women to list but nevertheless they have our acknowledgment and gratitude for the task they do so very well. Thank you!

Queensland Transport Contracted services (PSSC)
Southern Cross Transit operates services under a Fare Based Perscribed School Services Contract (PSSC) to the Queensland Government Department of Transport and Main Roads to supply limited public transport and school services. The suburbs covered by this contract are BORALLON, PINE MOUNTAIN, MUIRLEA, NORTH TIVOLI, CHUWAR, KARALEE, BARELLAN POINT, KARANA DOWNS, MT CROSBY, ANSTEAD, BELLBOWRIE, MOGGILL, PINJARRA HILLS, JAMBOREE HEIGHTS, JINDALEE, MIDDLE PARK, MT OMMANEY, RIVERHILLS, SEVENTEEN MILES ROCKS, SUMMNER PARK, WESTLAKE.
TRANSLink Funding Agreement services
Southern Cross Transit also operates a number of school service under a Funding Agreement with TRANSLink, Westside Bus Co. and Brisbane Transport. These services operate in the North Ipswich Region, Brisbanes Western Suburbs, and the Centenary Estates region.
Specialsed Shuttle Bus Services
Southern Cross Transit operates under contract to the West Morten Health, the Ipswich Hospital Car Park Shuttle service between the hospital and variuos off site parking locations...
Chartered School Services
A number of services are provided to private and public schools on a Charter Hire basis. These services are exclusive to the students of the client school. The route, fares and schedule is chosen by the school.
Charter Bus & Coach Hire Services
Our accreditation with Queensland Transport includes the authority to operate a service to hire buses and coaches with or without drivers to the general public. Our authority extends to any destination through Australia.
Major Event Transport Services
Southern Cross Transit is the service provide for the acclaimed CMC Rocks, the premier country music festival in Australia, held annually at Willowbank Raceway
