After receiving an email from a concerned parent about the closure of Kangaroo Gully Road, between Sugars Road and Montanus Drive, we contacted Brisbane City Council to ascertain what in fact is happening as we had no idea of this closure. Whilst they were very apologetic for their lack of consultation with us, there will be some restrictions on this stretch of road for at least 3 weeks.
We have been informed by the Traffic Control managing the roadworks that we will still be able to operate our services that travel SOUTHWARD on this stretch of road (from Sugars Rd to Montanus). However, we will be unable to travel in the opposite direction.
The services affected by this are: S41, S42, S45 and S47 Please see below to see the route these buses will now take.
The closure is scheduled take place from
Wednesday 21st August – Wednesday 11th September.
Once the road is re-opened we will immediately revert to the normal timetables.

S41 AM and PM – This bus will now travel to Kenmore SHS via the following route: From Church Rd, Left Kangaroo Gully Rd, Right Montanus Drive, Left Moggill Rd, onto Kenmore SHS
S42 AM and PM – This bus will now travel to Kenmore SHS via the following route: From Church Rd, Left Kangaroo Gully Rd, Right Montanus Drive, Left Moggill Rd, onto Kenmore SHS
S45 PM ONLY – This bus will drop off as normal until the corner of Kangaroo Gully Rd and Church Rd. After dropping on this corner there is very rarely any students left, therefore he will turn Left Church Rd, Right Hawkesbury Rd and continue to depot. Students who sometimes get dropped off on Kangaroo Gully Rd just before Mt Crosby Rd, will need to catch the S40.
S47 AM ONLY– This bus will now travel to Kenmore SHS via the following route: From Kangaroo Gully Rd (corner of Moggill Rd), R Montanus Dr, Left Moggill Rd, Left Sugars Rd, Right Kangaroo Gully Rd, Right Mt Crosby Rd, Left Moggill Rd, onto Kenmore SHS.
NOTE: If a student is unsure, please discuss with the driver. The driver will then speak with the depot and assist getting students home safely.
